1. Main Application

PD40 type rail flat car is a low flatbed car designed for urban subway construction and transportation equipment. It is tractioned by rail vehicles, locomotives, or other powered vehicles to transport steel rails, track panels, sleepers, various equipment, and materials for urban subway construction units. It can also be used as a transport vehicle for large and medium-sized industrial and mining enterprises, forests, local railways, etc.


2. Structural Features

The PD40 rail flat car adopts a center plate-bearing structure, mainly composed of a chassis, bogies, floors, wind and hand braking systems, and large and small couplers. The chassis has a central beam structure, using 300 I-beams and partitions welded into a fish-belly-shaped box beam. The side beams are made of 180-channel steel, and the bottom layer of the floor is laid with δ6mm patterned plate. The floors use 70mm thick wooden flooring, which has both anti slip effect and is easy to clean. There are also movable side boards around the flatbed, which can be loaded in bulk and convenient for loading and unloading, making it an economical and practical transportation equipment.
